Staying on the highway still means you deserve some comfort. The Commuter 2.0 system is designed for people seeking the best on-road ride quality on a budget. Utilizing front and rear 2.0" internal reservoir shocks, Carli Signature shocks have a tune that delivers all-around comfort and ride quality designed for on-road, in-town, highway, and towing/hauling.

Let's admit it, the majority of us don't take our trucks off-road, and in the rare occurrences we do, we are usually going pretty slow. If you've come to that reality, why would you want to install a performance suspension system? Well, that answer is quite simple....the ride. Heavy-duty trucks ride rough, doesn't matter what anyone says. Sure, they've gotten better over the years, but they're still neck-jarring when you slam into deep potholes, especially when the truck is unloaded. Carli Suspension has engineered a suspension system for daily drivers, introducing the COMMUTER 2.0.

COMMUTER 2.0 BASE KIT

For a truck that needs a smooth ride and enhanced handling on a variety of road conditions, Carli Suspension has covered all the bases. The Base Kit starts with multi-rate coils that give you a smoother ride and better stability when you need them most. A multi-rate coil also reduces stress on components like your shocks and bushings. The Carli SPEC 2.0" Internal Floating Piston (IFP) Shocks that come with the COMMUTER 2.0 system are tuned to deliver comfort wherever the road takes you or what you decide to take behind your rig. The mono-tube, Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability, and rebuildability and are built with 1-piece bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. And by improving on ride quality, you also improve the safety of your truck as well with it's predictable behaviour, better traction, and control.

REAR LEAF SPRING OPTIONS

Your truck will sit 2.5"-3" higher in the front (year/cab configuration dependent) with 50% more suspension travel than the factory platform thanks to the taller, lighter rate coil springs. The rear is lifted via your choice of Carli's progressive add-a-pack or full replacement progressive leaf spring. The Progressive Add-A-Pack replaces the factory lower overload with a 5-Leaf, progressive pack that changes the final rate of the spring pack keeping the rear planted while increasing traction and predictability. The full replacement springs are intended for those who want to maximize wheel travel (capable of up to 15") and minimize axle wrap due to their block-eliminating design. The Commuter 2.0 System has been developed with the Full Progressive option. While the Add-a-Packs will function there will also be a noticeable difference in ride-quality. Additionally, if you select "No" Leaf Spring option it will result in an unknown ride quality and height.

LEAF SPRING SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Add-A-Pack: Replaces rear, lower overload spring for increased ride quality. Includes U-Bolts and Center Pins.
  • Standard Full Spring Pack: Capable of 15" of wheel travel. Will reduce payload capacity by 15%. REQUIRES BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE - 5" Bump Stop Drop Bracket such as Timbren TB-DR1525H

SWAY BAR END LINKS

When pairing added down-travel with the taller ride height, the position of the factory, and front sway bar will need to be altered as well. For this, you will also receive extended, Sway Bar End Links. The End links are equipped with 1/2" FK Rod-Ends and in-house machined 17-4 stainless bodies that are extended over stock to reset the sway bar engagement points. Factory pillow bushings are re-used to assemble the sway bar to the lengthened link. Already have End Links from a previous installation? You have the option of declining them if you so choose but remember they are required for proper sway bar position.

SWAY BAR END LINKS SPECIFICATIONS:

  • In-house machined out of 17-4 stainless steel
  • 1/2" FK Bearing, Chromoly Rod-End
  • Used on 0-3" lift

OPTIONAL UPGRADES

  • Control Arms: re-centers the front axle after lift, improves clearance and suspension control

WHEEL AND TIRE FITMENT

This system will fit up to a 35" tire with stock control arms (we recommend purchasing a set of extended, Mild Steel Control Arms) on wheels with 5.75-6" of backspacing. If running factory wheels, we recommend an All Terrain 35" tire to avoid rubbing. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • WHEELS: Carli Recommends a 17"-18" Wheel, no more than 9" wide with 5.75" of Backspacing on Leveling Systems
  • TIRES: 35", E-Rated Tire Fitment is Recommended. Recommended unloaded Tire Pressure 45F/40R.
  • RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION: Carli Leveling Systems are Designed and Tested on Vehicles with 17"-18" Wheels with 35", E-Rated Tires. Stock wheels and tires or running a larger wheel diameter will result in a stiffer ride.

Ambitious universe building that starts small
Format: Kindle
Defiance of the Fall is in the Top 5 of my favorite progression fantasy stories (for reference, I think you should at least try the first book of all 5 series with the other 4 series being Primal Hunter, He Who Fights with Monsters, Azarinth Healer, and The Calamitous Bob). The scale of this series world-building is beyond any other series that comes to mind. And the crazy thing is that 16 books in, there's still a TON of room to keep building. I'm hoping the author can keep the series at this quality out to at least 30 books. The series starts out slightly slower-paced, but 16 books in I think that was a good thing as it really sets up the main character and enables a slow build up of their new existence. You learn as the MC does, and at the beginning the MC is still struggling with the basics. But as the main character progresses, that 'world' gets more and more complex and grows vastly in scope (there's a whole giant universe out there), with that complexity being the main challenge of the series. When there is 16 books worth of progress, remembering all the details can get a bit challenging. Book 16 books in, I'm still eagerly reading every book that comes out. All in all, I highly recommend this series and all of the others in my Top 5 list. If I had to round that out to a Top 10, other series I would recommend would be Paths of Akashic, Dual-Class, Grand Game, Unintended Cultivator, and A Thousand Li. None of those latter 5 are a strong as the top 5, but all are worth reading IMO.

Great LitRPG
Format: Kindle
Solid LitRPG stuff. It has all the hallmarks of the genre and they're executed well, your protagonist who starts off average and gets stronger and stronger, experiencing both great danger and great opportunity, taking risks that (usually) pay off. Where it really shines is the worldbuilding; it's a somewhat slower burn in that respect but the writing does a good job of building a coherent, intriguing world with a ton of different factions and factions within factions with their own motivations. The history of the world is legitimately interesting and being cultivation-themed gives it a unique flavor compared to many others which are more straight RPG (and there's even a good in-universe reason for this). My criticisms are fairly minor, the writing can be a bit dry or awkward on occasion "The situation clearly hinted at a situation where he would only need to...", and the universe and lore is expansive enough that it's easy to forget about some individual element on occasion. This is an overall review of the series (16 books at time of writing).

good book, needs an editor.
Format: Kindle
The premise was good, and the story arcs were good. But the actual writing style of this book left a lot to be desired. I see the author is up to book 16 as of now. Hopefully they have fixed a lot of these minor issues.

Great read once the action gets going
Format: Kindle
I've never read anything by this author and picked up this series after seeing how many books were already released; very important to me nowadays as I keep hitting the end of other series I really enjoy and get stuck waiting for the author to complete writing the next installment. No such problem here as there are nearly a dozen installments already published. Plus, this first book was nearly 800 pages. It is the typical LitRPG where the storyline starts off with earth being forcefully and suddenly integrated into the "multiverse" and the MC having to learn all about the magic and leveling system in order to grow strong enough to find his family and defend himself. Thr plot might be standard but the writer throws in plenty of interesting bits like the primary invaders being demons and the MC choosing to wield an axe rather than the traditional sword. The only problem is that the MC is a bit of a whiner at first and nothjng much happens except a lot of grinding so stick with it. The action starts around the second half when he leaves his immediate surroundings full of low level mobs to engage the invaders. From there it only gets more interesting as he discovers other species whose worlds were merged with earth along with fellow humans. A leaderboard is also introduced tracking levels and wealth so we get a glimpse of other powerful humans besides the MC. The system controlling the multiverse promotes conflict and rewards the strong so the MC undergoes a total attitude change and goes from a desk jockey to near bloodthirsty in his quest for power. Purchasing the next book straightaway as I cant wait to read where the story heads. Would definitely recommend for fans of fantasy and particularly LitRPG.
